Paddling distances are short, scenery is varied, and, despite the close proximity, civilization seems worlds away.

The wildlife that inhabits these wonderful Islands and its water ways can be spectacular and varied; Eagles and seabirds swirl in the skies above the Salish Sea, sheltered, islet-dotted waters teeming with seals, otters, orcas and pods of porpoises. Enjoy kayaking in this paradise which boasts a rare eco-systems basking in a Mediterranean-like climate. The Gulf Islands are laced with trails leading to mountaintop viewpoints, lighthouses, and reminders of First Nations and pioneer pasts, while their shores and lagoons are a haven for thriving bird life, at low tide the inter-tidal life is truly amazing so you have the makings for a grand wildlife outing while barely leaving your launch site.

Departing from our kayaking center at Port Sidney Marina these fully guided tours are ideal for guests with no kayaking experience. We have many trip options on these tours as the park offers multiple campsites with a reasonable paddling distance.
